Privacy policy

1. Definitions

App: The application Maped Play developed by Maped; Personal data: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. It may include a person’s name, a picture, a phone number, an e-mail address, purchase and payment history, the location, etc. User: any individual, or legal entity, who registers for use and uses services delivered by an App and who may have submitted personally identifiable information to Maped; Data processing: any operation performed on the data such as collection, use, management or disclosure by means of transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, blocking, erasure or destruction of personal data.

2. Collecting and processing personal data

Maped may collect and process Personal Data and information on how the User uses the services provided by the App. The data are collected from the User or from the User’s device. Maped may collect, store and process the location data of the User’s device when the User uses the App and take actions that use the location services made available through device’s mobile operating system, which makes use of cell tower triangulation, Wi-Fi triangulation, and/or GPS. When the User downloads or uses the App on its mobile device, information may be accessed from or stored in its mobile device. The information collected is stored in data centers operated by a third-party provider which may change from time to time. Therefore the location of the data centers may be communicated upon specific request.

3.Purposes of the collecting and processing data

Maped Play is an application by Maped which provides to users an augmented reality experience. Maped Play uses a solution developed by Admented. Admented is specialized in developing software and applications in the sector of the augmented and virtual reality. Maped collects information and process it in order to provide to User a great, personalized experience.

4.Conditions applicable to child’s consent

Maped Play services are intended for users who are at least 16 years old. A user below the age of 16 years is required to get the consent of its parent or guardian before providing any personal information to Maped. By using the App, the User is representing that he/she is at least 16 or that he/she has the specific consent of its parent or guardian.

5.Security

Maped undertakes to take all the appropriate technical and organizational measures needed to protect one’s personal data from destruction, loss, modifications or disclosure. In order to guarantee this security, Maped carries out, among others, regular back-ups.

6.Retention period

Personal information is held in Maped system as long as it is necessary to provide access to the App. We can delete all your personal information data on request. However, if Maped is subject to a legally binding requirement to retain User information for a specific period of time, this provision may override the User’s ability to require deletion.

7.Right to request a copy and right to request any inaccuracies to be corrected

Maped shall take any reasonable step to ensure that the data is accurate and kept-up-to-date. It shall ensure that the data which is inaccurate or incomplete with respect to the purposes for which it is collected is erased or rectified. The User has the right to request a copy of the personal information which Maped holds about the User, and to request free of charge any inaccuracies to be corrected. The requests shall be sent to dpo@maped.fr.

8.Disclosure of information

Maped may share User’s information such as the username and name with other Users and with Maped’s entities. The user expressly agrees that the personal data related to the User may be disclosed to Maped for marketing purposes. Maped may provide to its Marketing Service for marketing and strategic development purposes information in aggregate, so that no individual is being identified. The clients must comply with the legislation when handling User’s personal data. Maped may disclose information if it is needed to comply with any valid legal process, governmental request, applicable law regulation, if needed to investigate, remedy or enforce potential breaches in the use of the App, to protect the rights, property or the safety of Maped, its Users, or third parties, to detect and resolving any fraud or security concerns. Maped may provide to third parties if Maped is acquired or if its legal structure undergoes a reorganization or its business is transferred to another company. In that circumstances, Maped may share information with this other company before and after the transaction closes. Except for the above, Maped will not sell, rent or lease personal data to any third parties. Maped does not for instance sell the names, e-mail addresses or personal demographic to mass marketers.

9.Right to delete your personal data

You can delete all your personal data within the app by deleting your account. Alternatively, you can send a request to dpo@maped.fr and we will delete your account and all the personal data related to your account.

10.Changes to Admented privacy policy

The present privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Major changes to the data collected and the use of them, will be notified through the website and the apps. If the User shall not agree with the changes, it shall not continue to use the app and/or the services.
